ZUNMO Leadership Engages Members in Southern Province Member Education Tour – Zambia Union of Nurses and Midwives Organisation

The Zambia Union of Nurses and Midwives Organisation (ZUNMO) President, Fray Michelo, on 20 May 2026, commenced a member education tour in Southern Province aimed at strengthening engagement with nurses and midwives on matters affecting the profession and the organisation.

Mr. Michelo, accompanied by ZUNMO Deputy General Secretary in Charge of Organisation and Operations, Kean Sakala, held interactive sessions with members at Mazabuka General Hospital where key the organisational and professional issues were discussed.

The tour seeks to enhance member awareness, promote unity among nurses and midwives, and provide updates on ongoing ZUNMO programmes and advocacy efforts.

The ZUNMO leadership team is also expected to conduct similar member education engagements in Monze and Namwala districts as part of continued efforts to bring the union closer to members across the country.
