Preparation of ZUNO modules for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) has progressed with the recently drafted thirty five CPD modules having been reviewed by the Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). Subject matter experts met in Kabwe from 20th to 29th November 2017 to proof read, edit, format and qualify the content.
According to the approved roadmap, the reviewed content will be submitted to the General Nursing Council of Zambia (GNCZ) in December 2017 for verification before it is piloted to selected nurses and midwives within Lusaka Province.
ZUNO Vice President for Professional Affairs Mrs. Tisa Chiponda said ZUNO plans to incorporate feedback from the pilot before launching and rolling implementation of the CPD modules within the month of January 2018.
“This program is part of our mandate of protecting and promoting the interests of nurses and midwives through effective representation and capacity building.” said Mrs. Chiponda.
